After the Much Music Video Awards wrapped up on Sunday night, the party was just getting started for 900 guests and a myriad of celebrities in attendance of Perez Hilton’s “One Night in Toronto” event. The sold-out party at Toronto’s Club XS featured performances by Carly Rae Jepsen, My Name is Kay, and a number of other artists, with event appearances by Katy Perry, 90210′s Shenae Grimes, Glee stars Chord Overstreet and Darren Criss, Cody Simpson and Nelly Furtado, among others.
The event was hosted by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton whose energetic pink carpet walk showed the sassy blog king adorned with a black afro wig (fitting in quite well with the club’s giant disco ball) and taking pictures with reporters along the rope line. Later in the evening, Hilton presented a $10,000 check to MusiCounts director Allan Reid. MusiCounts is a Canadian organization that gives grants to schools to keep music in the education system.
“Perez knows how to throw a party and Canada knows how to have a good time!!,” exclaims Hilton. “My third One Night In Toronto event was such a massive success, not just because of the amazing artists that performed and the superstar celebs that attended – but especially because we were able to raise over $10,000 for MusiCounts, an amazing Canadian charity that helps keep music education in Canadian schools. The evening could not have gone better and I want to thank everyone that helped make it possible!”
Perez Hilton’s “One Night in Toronto” was produced in association with the BMF Media Group and Strut Entertainment.
