Alternative rock band Our Lady Peace was formed in Toronto nearly 20 years ago and subsequently shot to international success. Though their style has changed over time, their fan base has only grown. With the forthcoming release of Curve, the band’s eighth studio album, I had the opportunity to speak with the group’s youngest member, drummer Jeremy Taggart, whose been an OLP fixture since the band’s humble beginnings.
Despite the plethora of [amusing] jokes about drummers, the best of which come from drummers themselves, rock music without drums is empty. And drumming takes skill. That’s what drummers say, anyway.
